It's hard to base your life on a fortune cookie

It seems like we do this every January.  We (and by "we" I mean "Adrain) pop into our favorite local Asian Grocery store, and load up on the biggest bag of freshly baked fortune cookies our money can buy.  (This huge jar only holds half the stash.)  You probably didn't know this about us, but we are fortune cookie junkies.  We love them.  When we have them at home, we eat one every night, after dinner.  We leave out the "in bed" add-on to keep it family friendly, though Adrain and I lock eyes, and think it, thus propelling each other into raucous bouts of laughter right at the table, to the bewilderment of our hoodlums,  if you know what I mean.... (Doesn't everyone add the words, "in bed" to the end of their fortunes?)

I have one thing to say about this, my most recent fortune.

On second thought... I better not say it.
Bwahahahahahahaha!  Oh Happy New Year.  Laugh a LOT!

  4. I do that with fortune cookies, too, and also the little sayings in the caps of Jones soda bottles. Yesterday's was something like "Your success in life is based on your efforts," or thereabouts. Add the "in bed" and I was giggling like a school girl.

  6. WOW, I am so glad we're normal with the whole in-bed thing. We do it every time as well, but recently we had them at a murder mystery at church and someone brought scripture ones. In Bed just did NOT work for those, but YES, we did try.

Thanks for sharing, it had made me smile all morning.

  7. We used to say "in bed" at the end of our fortune, but now that we have kids we say "on the toilet" . Sometimes it's hilarious! I know it's very juvineille, but we have boys and they love it!!

  11. BWAA-HA-HAAA! One of my friends's husbands totally ruined my ability to read a fortune cookie without adding "in bed" to it after about a year of going to her house for chinese food once a week. *sigh*

    :)

    Have an Extraordinary Day!

  15. Yep! We did this...and now that we have a hoodlum? We add...in a grass skirt. When he was younger that got lots of giggles. He's 13 now, so it usually gets a eyeroll. sigh! :)
