New Year's Dieting

And so it begins... I figured there was nothing better to kick off my 365 days of photos, than a big fat chocolate cupcake.  Happy New Year! (I've reconsidered my "plan" and for sake of ease, decided to post all of my 365 day photos separately, in a tab under my header, but will often include them in my regular posts.) It's a time for new beginnings...and diets.  I've got to tell you about two diets that I've come up with for anyone looking to ignore this scrumptious cupcake, and lose a few.  It's going to revolutionize the world.  Actually, the truth is, I only came up with one of them.  My brother, Officer McJakey, came up with the other one.
While kicking it at the lake house a couple weeks ago, my brother and I were sitting in the living room, our feet on the coffee table, talking about nothing.  Which is what we do best.  JJ was running up and down the stairs, shooting intermittent rubber bands at our heads, when all of a sudden, Jake turns to me and says, "I've got it Sash!  The perfect diet.  No matter where you go, you have to run as fast as you can to get there.  So let's say you're sitting on the couch and you decide you need to get up and grab a glass of juice.  You jump up, and run as fast as you can into the kitchen.  Then you might want to go from there to the bedroom, so you run as fast as you can until you get there."  See?  Revolutionizing, I tell ya.
We'll just call it the Forrest Gump diet. (insert Forrest Gump voiceover, here)  "From now on, whenever you're going somewhere, you are runninnnngggg...."

I love my brother.
The other diet, is the one I came up with, and it's not nearly as cool.  It's basically called the do-it-yourself diet.  You simply do everything you were going to ask another to do, yourself.  So when you're sitting on the couch at night and your man gets up to grab something in the kitchen and you feel like a tall drink of ice water... you don't say, "Hey babe, could you do me a favor and bring some water in here when you come back?"  Nope.  You just hop up and do it yourself.

I'm going to hop up and grab myself a cupcake now...

The End.

  8. Both are excellent ideas, seeing as I'm a bit of a klutz, I think I'll go with the do it yourself diet, otherwise I could end up in traction for a few months and seriously blow the diet plan. : )

    Happy New Year!

  9. Your brother sounds as hilarious as you. LOVE it!! I could use the laziman's diet. I am sooo guilty of having my girls fetch me stuff constantly. I need to get off my fat @$$ and do it myself. Great idea. Hope you have a big smile on your face sweet girl!

  15. That made me laugh! My roommates in college used to ask me,"Why do you run everywhere?" like when I went from my bed to the closet, or from the bathroom back to my bed. I don't know why.
Your brother sounds like a very funny guy. I bet you have great fun together. :) Happy New Year!
