Wear your heart on your sleave... Er, your shirt.

My man's been out of town on business and I'm going to pick him up at the airport when he returns.  Only I don't want to just stand in the luggage claim area, waiting silently, until he walks around the corner and lights up my world with his smile.  That's never really been my style.  I'm more the "flinging myself into someone's arms" type of gal.  Only one small issue with that.  No, make that two small issues with that.  Their names are JJ and Ava.  They run faster than I do, and they usually beat me to him, dangit!  (It's not considered cool to knock your small children down on your way to your man.  It's just not.  People raise eyebrows and murmur things.)

But I'm crafty, so I figured out a solution, that will give my man the impression of me, flinging myself into his arms, while his arms are otherwise occupied with precious hoodlums.  I created this tee shirt that will scream loudly at him from across the airport.
I'm pretty sure my man likes to be screamed at by messages across my chest.  Yeah, I said it. And I stand by it too. (giggle.)

And because it's nearly Valentine's day, I thought the red heart was perfect.  I know I am going to wear this tee shirt often, even if my peeps ridicule me.  Life is short.  Wear your love out loud.  (Did that even remotely make sense?)

Because I also love you guys, and I want to encourage you to proclaim your love for your main squeeze, I've made a few similar tees and you can grab them on my Etsy store and have them on your sweet little selves by Valentine's day!! (I know, I said I wasn't creating anything new after my current stock sold, til the springish time, and I am mostly, but all this Etsy business just makes my head spin with fun ideas! I couldn't help myself!) Be warned, I only made a few because I didn't know if people would laugh at me...or if they'd want one for themselves.  Ya never know.  I've been laughed at before.

I (heart) you.

LOVE those shirts! I say be as sweet and mushy as you want to be. Why hide that you are in love!?

And BTW, your description of pushing your little ones over to reach your man first was hilarious! That's love, baby! :) :)

Thanks for sharing!

"Wear your love out loud". That is the cutest and at the same time most poignant thing I've read today. You are too much!!

Um, yeah. I have this same problem at our tiny little airport here in Wenatchee. I often stand there visualizing my young skinny self flying into my husband's arms with my beautiful thick healthy hair flowing behind myself, and wrapping my tan legs around his waist with all the love and joy and devotion I feel in my heart. Then reality slaps me in the face, and I realize I have a short, easy care haircut, and am only reasonably fit as opposed to skinny and even that might be a stretch, and my legs are nowhere near tan and I don't ever wrap them around him in public for sure, and most importantly, I have two daughters that will reach him long before I do. And, the progression of the outfits I've worn to greet him at the airport through the years speak volumes to where we are in life, haha!!! All that being said, I do love my man, quite a lot, and am glad I'm not the only one whose kids get in the way of it occasionally. :-)

Oh Sasha - I wish I had half your zest for life! I love my man in a quiet gentle sort of way and he knows it quite well, but I'd never have the nerve to plaster my feelings on my chest! Of course, if I did I might shock him into a heart attack or something! Maybe after 20 years of marriage we've just gotten too comfy in this old shoe. Recently I was so surprised to hear from an older lady at church that she's been watching our little family and she can see how much my husband treasures me, and how happy our children are, despite our struggles. It was a blessing to know that the love light is shining through and encouraging others - even if it is spoken quietly!

Love them Sasha.. If I bought one my man would be embarrassed. He hate any kind of PDA. I will probably buy one just to see his reaction and watch other people make comments. I like that kind of attention (giggle) I know deep down that he loves me but never shows it that often. When he does I am completely taken by surprise. Again you make my day when I read your blog. I thank God that I have a virtual friend and you reach out to so many. I am not alone in this world and I thank you for blessing us with this blog.
