My weekend in photos...

Many of you know that Becky flew in to see Lissa and I.  We coordinated our schedules, driving Becky back and forth to each other, so we could each have a share of time with her.  Becky was precious and worked around my home schooling schedule, and I tell you, both of those girls are like sunshine to a dry winter soul.  Sadly, I didn't get a photo of the three of us together, but I know that they did, so hopefully I'll snag one of theirs and show you later.  And when I do, I'll share a hysterical story about my second most embarrassing moment ever.
Friday, was my day with Becky, (and no kiddos!) so we hit the streets, with a mission to see as much as possible of my county in two hours.  I showed her my favorite yellow barn, some fun local shops, the house I'll be moving in to in about two weeks, and all things in between.
Then we hit a restaurant for an early lunch, threw a lot of peanut shells on the floor, took a ton of photos, and generally goofed around.
Becky and I discovered something about ourselves last February when she came to see me.  We are two peas in a pod.  We have the same sense of humor, we totally get each other, and we have a comfort level that comes with very few friendships.  I love this girl to pieces.
You can't photograph peanut shells on a restaurant floor with just anybody, ya know?  Only a fellow blogger gets that...
I was struggling with my manual settings, so I didn't get nearly as many photos as I'd normally have taken...

We left the peanut shells all over the floor, and hit a nearby spa.  Words really can't begin to describe how amazing this entire experience was.  Robes, steam rooms, iced water with lemons, side-by-side pedicures with the sweetest ladies doing our toenails, and best of all... Becky.
After pedicures, we went for cupcakes.
I'm pretty sure we sat there, savoring the sugar rush, murmuring things about "perfect days."
I think all cupcakes should be eaten on polka dot plates, don't you?
After cupcakes, we drove around, looked at the bay, and then later, came home and got ready for some seafood, where we very quickly realized that you can indeed get drunk on food overload.  I'm not kidding. We ate creme brulee for dessert, and then came home and laid on the floor moaning.  (Oh... well, at least I did.) When the waitress asked me how my dinner was, I said, "Oh....I just love food...."  (For some reason, Becky and I both found this response to be hilarious.)
We met up with Lissa early Saturday morning, and attended a local junk show.  Those vendors put so much amazing work into displays and little touches.  It was very busy and full of great treasures!  Again, very few of my photos turned out...(I'm a work in progress, what can I say?)
It was so fun to bump into some people we already knew, and some we just met, like this darling gal photographed above! (I totally got her name wrong because I'm an idiot... this is Ashley, NOT Alicia!! I'm sorry Ashley... way too much excitement for me in such a small space of time... Forgive me??)   Believe it or not, I also ran into my very own sis-in-law, and the surprise of it completely delighted me since I had no idea she was going to be there, and we live an hour and a half away from one another!!
I have to admit...I'm incredibly sad now that I had to say goodbye to both Becky and Lissa and drive home.

I guess that's the measure of really good friends...when you're so sad to see them go you could almost cry...
