Daily Grind...

Hiya, Peeps!  Buckle up for one of the most random and scattered posts I've ever written okay?  I just plunged head first into birthday season in my little neck of the woods, and it's getting crazier by the day!  This is my all time favorite season though, because I got to spend an entire afternoon weeding my flower beds, feeling the sunshine on my back, and thinking about things like Seder dinner, and Easter traditions. (Oh, and I can't wait to show you something fun, involving little metal buckets...and succulents.) Even though it feels way too busy right now, at least it will give me plenty of chances to break out my camera.  Not that I needed any... because pretty much every day is a good day for photographing life. Speaking of life...I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with school, as our stack of workbooks is down to three for each hoodlum.  So ready to be finished!  And spring break is in less than two weeks.  (Yes, you just heard me screaming in excitement.)
I'm feeling mixed emotions, knowing this might be the last year I home school.... but so excited for the opportunities and support my little man will get in public school.  He is so precious... and so challenging.
And I'm pretty sure he's still going to take over my counter tops with his projects, because he's his mother's son... we bond over glue and tape.

Anyway, as my little people and man are in birthday celebratory mode, I have to confess I ripped apart my entire garage, going through box after box, looking for a bucket. It was important at the time.... I can't explain why... could be that 2/3 of my home is sitting in my garage, nestled in bubble wrap and cardboard.... but why did it have to be the last box I opened, at the bottom of the pile?  And there were tears.  Adrain promised to organize the many partially unpacked boxes for me this weekend, but it's not going to take long before I won't be able to take it any longer with out completely unpacking everything.  We'll see.
I wandered into Target for party supplies the other day, and saw the cutest... I'm talking cuh-ute-est maxi dresses... they made my heart go thump-thump.  I so want to start wearing dresses more... I might be a Target addict...

Speaking of things I'm addicted to... cherry bomb red toenail polish... sigh... cheery and fun..... I'm also addicted to Secret Millionaire.  Have you seen it?  It makes me dissolve in tears every single time.  We can all make a difference in someone's life.  I love things that give you hope.

Okay y'all... I've got cupcakes to frost.

  2. Oh and are you doing a Seder dinner? We go to one each year at a friend's house. This year my church is having one and I'm so excited. I'd love to hear about your Easter traditions. It's becoming one of my favorite days.

  3. Oh how I lived in your neighborhood. I would so invite myself over to your house for that dinner. I've never been and I think it would be really cool to experience. I bought a maxi dress last year for Hawaii. SO comfortable, but I sorta look like a cow in it. Not very flattering. You need to send me a pic of yours. Maybe I need a different one;)

  7. Oh, Sasha, sigh, I know. Most of my life is packed up in a garage, too. And has been for almost 8 years! Not being able to find something in there very quickly dissolves me into tears or worse. Really, the tears are my better option.
