Rewind...

Last week, I wasn't very productive. Like, at all.  I didn't get my house all staged for being back on the market, in fact, I didn't really make my bed all week.  But I did lay around a lot and tried to give my back time to heal. (I'll be much more aware of how I pick up and haul boxes from now on.)  I guess I hurt it pretty badly, so laying around was just the ticket.  This was pretty much my view, from laying on the couch.  This is the driftwood I stole last spring with my girlfriends.  Good times, good crimes.  (Don't tell my kids I said that.  Thanks.)
My soon to be listed Etsy pillow slips for the Mr. and Mrs.
I finally got my act mostly together, wrapped up my unproductiveness (made up words rock) and started creating a ton of fun new things for my Etsy collection this weekend!!  I can not wait to see what you guys think.  But I'm also terrified to see what you guys think too.  I fell in love with everything I made and want to keep one of everything for myself.  I have to be honest though... I don't like this part at all.  You know... the part shortly before I list all my goodies, and hope that people like them enough to actually buy them...the part where I momentarily regret making a resolution around New Year's to step out, be fearless, and try this!  It would be so much easier to go hide under my cozy bed covers.  But if I do that, I'll never get anything done, and we can't have that!

I'm attempting to get my act together over the rest of this weekend, and return to my regular sporadic posting schedule.  As opposed to just being plain old sporadic.

Don't try and unravel that.

  2. Made up words do rock! I always say english is a living language - so I can make up words if I want to. Random note: I learned this week that splendiferous is a real word. Hmmmph, sounds made up to me. Unproductiveness sounds very reasonable.

  3. First of all, I am so sorry that your back is hurt....I threw mine out while we were on our Disney cruise 4 weeks ago, and it hasn't been the same! I've been to the chiropractor 2-3 times per week since it happened, and I'm STILL not back to myself. Having a hurt back is a total BUMMER. I hope yours heals up quickly!!

Can't wait to see all that you list in your etsy shop....everything you've ever made is awesome!

Oh, and made up words totally ROCK.

  5. Those pillow cases are so cute! It's natural to worry before you put your crafts out there for everyone to judge. But you already have a great track record on Etsy, so don't worry too much! :)

  12. It really is SO hard to lay yourself out there, isn't it? Why can't it be enough when I love something I've made? There is just something about others sharing in the joy of what makes you happy. I think* it's just that simple :) You are an incredible artist and inspiration. Just know you are always going to be your own worst critic so if YOU love it--I am going to be OBSESSED with it :) I can't wait to see what you've done!

Good Lord woman, it's like you have to break your back to just relax sometime. Everyone deserves to sit back for a bit!
