Watermelon Daiquiris

I have been promising you guys this recipe forever!  Only I feel kind of bad because my watermelon daiquiris are usually much better looking because of the fact that I almost always use frozen watermelon, and I had to use fresh watermelon for this batch.  (It tasted exactly the same, it just wasn't frothy and frozen-looking.)
I can't believe there was a time when I didn't like watermelon.  What on earth was wrong with me?
I also want to say that I use this exact same recipe all the time and leave out the rum, (replacing it with orange juice) and make family friendly watermelon smoothies, and I am completely addicted to them.  (In fact, that's pretty much what gets me to the end of my stupid P90X workout...)

I'm so in love with watermelon smoothies (and admittedly, the occasional daiquiri) that when I was passing a Costco sample cart featuring watermelon, I nearly caused a riot when I mentioned that you could freeze it and blend it into smoothies and daiquiris.  I had all these women buzzing around, asking me recipe questions, and putting watermelons in their carts.  It was hilarious.  I generally slice half a watermelon, and pass it out to the dozens of children invading my backyard, and then I chop up the rest of it, and tuck it away into freezer zip lock bags.  Then when I need a watermelon smoothie because I just spent an hour and a half trying to bend my body like a pretzel, I have it ready to go.
It's nice... you can have your watermelon....
...and drink it too!
Watermelon Daiquiris:
4 cups cubed watermelon.  (I like to use frozen watermelon cubes)
1/3 cup watermelon rum.
1/4 cup orange juice
4 tsp agave nectar (or you could use powdered sugar)
4 tsp lime juice
**Blitz it til it's smooth and then pass it around!  Guaranteed, instant summer party.**

  14. I put watermelon in my freezer on Tuesday afternoon, knowing that my best friend was coming into town for the next two weeks and would be at our house that evening. I made the daiquiris that night, and then yesterday, she showed up with 2 watermelons to make more!
We are addicted to these! Thanks for sharing your recipe!
