Counting down

We are nearly there.  Less than one week from school, and about a day away from re-opening Etsy!  Talk about excitement.  It's like there's electricity in the air or something.  (Okay there's really not, I just thought that would be fun to say.) My hoodlums are so cute... they are playing with everything they own today.  It's like they know... gone are the days of homeschooling (not that we played all day... cause we didn't... we were just around so if they wanted to... wait never mind.  We did play all day.  Yes... yes we did... and we learned a bunch too though...) and soon are the days of public school.

Today I finally got some answers/closure on some of JJ's stuff.  (I'm just going to call it "stuff" okay?) Medication questions, dosage questions, is-it-working questions... that sort of thing.  I feel happy.

I also got some more answers on my "stuff."  (We'll call that "stuff" too.) I was having daily vitamin B injections and oh-wasn't-that fun?  Those are now going to be weekly for a while.  I also may be gluten intolerant and my doctor started me on a 30 day gluten free dietary plan to find out.  There's gluten in a lot of things.  Who knew.  All of this because of one little blood test for my liver.  Things break down when you start getting old I guess.  Ha!  (Incidentally, my birthday is in about a week and I'm totally good with getting older.  I'm just saying.)  The other day I was talking to Alli, and I explained that it feels so nice to finally have something wrong with me.  (Hold on- hear me out) I am the worst hypochondriac (as we all know) in the world, so to finally have something WRONG, but not just imagined wrong... well, I feel vindicated somehow.  Does this make me a freak?  Yes.  I'm sure it does.

I didn't come here to talk about all of that believe it or not.  I just came to say hi. And take an Etsy break for a few minutes.  And say that I'll see you on Thursday with finished (and so super cute, cute, cute)  Etsy stuff.
Apparently, stuff happens.  Bwahahaha!  Okay, back to work for me.

  4. So, I'm totally being nosy, but why are you not homeschooling anymore. Just curious because I just started homeschooling. Also, again, completely nosy, but what is your son on meds for? My son takes meds daily and I'm always interested in reasons why other kiddos do too. And, I love your daughter's finger nail polish!

  6. One of mine started public school (high school, last was in public school in 4th grade) last week and he's loving it. It's completely different to have to work around school for doctor appointments and such. I had taken our freedom SO for granted!!

  7. What cute lil' bunnies.
Gluten-free is easier to do than you might think. Lots of alternatives nowadays. Recipes on my blog, if you need something sweet.

  8. so glad to hear that you've received some answers from JJ's stuff and that you have some answers for yourself....I totally GOT what you meant when you said that you feel vindicated....it does get frustrating when you KNOW something is going on with your body but the tests are all coming back "nada."

I'd love to know how you decided to go from homeschool to public school.

We've been homeschooling for 4 years now and so much of me doesn't think I ever want to put them back in school bc they are learning so much more at home..I'm afraid they'd be BORED STIFF sitting in a public school classroom all day. :(
