Picking...

This will be quick because I've been dealing with kid meltdowns and a few errands, so I'm about to go chill.  But I had to pop on here to say that every single one of you (and I mean EVERY one of you) who left me comments on my previous post and Facebook melted my heart.  (Trust me, heart melting is a good thing in my world.) Oh your words... your sweet, encouraging and often vulnerable words.  They mean so much to me.  To those of you who shared your own experiences, I prayed for you guys as I read them!
So that said, I'm supposed to be relaxing for the month of August right?  Yeah... about that.  I have way too many ideas for my Etsy store in September!!   I am itching to create. (See those crates and that old window in the corner?  Yup.  Itching...)  I've got a load of new things cramming into my brain and I've just realized that it's therapeutic.  Like... it took me this long to figure that one out.  Ha!

Okay, so I said this would be short. (Well, short by my standards, anyway!  Which actually could mean all day.)  Look at this darling old, wide, rocking chair I found today, completely by accident!  I went looking for some old boards and such, and literally tripped over this thing.  Both hoodlums fit side by side with room to spare.  Too cute.  We've been looking for one for years, (since JJ was a baby in fact) but I wanted a certain kind, and had never seen one even close to under $50.00 until I saw this for way less than that!  I had to grab it.  We have wanted one because with JJ's sensory issues, a rocking chair is a really good thing, and I'm so happy to have it!  I'm going to paint it... and I'm not painting it white.  Ohhhhh I can't wait to show you guys what I do to it!

Even Adrain is excited about it.  (He didn't say that, but I could tell.  A wife just knows these things.  Bwhahahaha!)

Sorry, I'm just having way too much fun here.  Shoot, life is short, goof around and paint old rocking chairs fun colors!  (I keep telling my sis (n-law) this very thing.)  Stay tuned... (grin)
Love you guys!!

  7. Your rocker is gorgeous! And even though you don't know some of us we love you and your honesty. Thank you for sharing your heart. If I just a little bit of your energy my day would be made. It's so dang hot in Texas that it's hard to get moving and that is with air conditioning. Thanks for your inspiration. Blessings!

  10. Sasha,
Love when you share your creative excitiment. It just means very cool and fantabulous is brewing in that sweet lil head of yours. : )
That rocker brought back memories for me. We had one exactly like that that we rocked both of our children in and sometime in the past two years I let go of it becaues it was in need of repair. The hubs and I hated to let it go. Can't wait to see what you do with yours.
