Hump Day

Does anyone else laugh when someone says, "Hump day?"  (Or is that just me?)  For those of you that laugh (myself included) I selected that title just for you.  Today, I'm home with a sick boy.  I didn't realize school germs would hit us so quickly!  I dropped Ava off this morning, and then I hit the grocery store for chocolate milk, orange juice, gluten-free chicken noodle soup, and peanut butter m&m's to help him feel better.  (You know... the basics.) I love how when they don't feel good, even though they are big boys.... they still want to snuggle with Mama.  I hate when they are sick, but I sure do love the snuggle time!

I love Wednesdays, because they are early release days for my hoodlums, and I get them at 1:00!  Yay!

I'm going to be finishing up most of your custom orders this afternoon.  (Well, that's my plan anyway!) and listing these big chalkboards, just in time for holiday menu writing, or festive message writing!  (Click here for my shop.) Oh... and I'm making another pot roast for dinner tonight.  I might have a pot roast addiction now that I've figured it out!  (You guys cracked me up with your comments on that post... who knew so many of us were afraid to cook meat?)

Lastly, (and the necklaces are coming soon, I promise...that's next week) I've got these adorable market bags completed!!  My man just laughed... I don't think he quite got the whole, "why this is so cute" factor, but I know you guys do!
Also, I have to show you the outfit Ava wore to school today because it was so cute and I just posted all my outfits from consignment.  (Her scarf and turtle neck were consignment finds.) If only I could get away with the skinny jeans and boots look... it's not ever going to happen, but I sure do enjoy it on her.

Happy Humping.  Wait... that came out kinda wrong.  Um... Happy Wednesday.  Yeah.

Your daughter looks cute and I hope your son feels better soon. And I just looked over and mandy's comment caught my eye and made me laugh! that's funny!

  9. You are too funny with the hump day thing! I hope JJ is feeling better. Ava looks adorable. Is it really cool enough to wear boots and sweaters somewhere else in this country? We have a saying down here that Texas is a whole other country and it sure is. I love the bag lined with the blue strawberries. I wish I had a job so I could buy one of everything in your shop. You must have a ton of energy and be a good time manager. Blessings to you!

  11. Just started reading your blog and caught my eye on your chalkboard frame. I've been wanting to buy one to cover up our electrical panel in our laundry room. Nothing seems quite vertically long enough. Any tips on supplies to make one? Yours has just the right touch of lavish and just the right touch of down-to-earth. Love your posts, thanks for the pick me up each morning.

  12. But have you TRIED skinny jeans and boots??! :) Because I didn't think I could pull it off either, and I am now in love with that look.

Love the chalkboard by the way. I just bought a tiny chalkboard and have been having so much fun with it, I think I need more - and bigger ones.

  13. Yes. Hump Day has always made me giggle. Just like how we just hired a new minister for an associate position at church. His name is Kermit. Now please tell me that you, too just said....The Frog....in your head. ; )
