I suppose this has something to do with the fact that my love language is gifts... and I love the entire process of giving gifts... but whatever it is, I make a day of it.
Last year, I used brown wrap and twine, along with some colorful yarn. I decided to continue that, but add a little more color into the mix with some diamond patterned red paper, fun and colorful ornament toppers, and some plain white paper.
They turned out so cute!
I continued our family "theme" of singing Hallelujah and stamped it onto each tag.
I don't get the kids an ornament every year, but these nutcrackers were just begging for a spot on top of a couple gifts.
I painted a few wooden letters and tied them into some yarn as well.
Everything is tucked neatly under the tree, waiting for the big day to arrive! (So many of you have inquired about my names of God garland... I promise to make more next November! I didn't realize they'd be this cute or sell out so quickly. Thank you!!)
Do you love wrapping gifts too? Or is it a chore that you can't wait to get over with?

I love how your presents are wrapped. Can I ask here you found the brown wrapping paper?
ReplyDeleteyou are so ahead of the game girl! looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteHate it! Isn't that awful? What in the world is wrong with me? Just seems like a giant time waster. Much like a meal it's devoured in 10 minutes flat. Yours looks lovely though. Yarn makes it so homey.
ReplyDeletei love wrapping gifts too! that was supposed to be today's project but we'll see!
ReplyDeletelove your names of God garland my friend :)
I live close by -- I'll pay you to wrap my gifts!
ReplyDeleteSo merry & bright! Where did you find the wooden letters?
ReplyDeleteoh...and your kids just have to painfully LOOK at them for 19 more days!!!!! poor things :) i love your gifts and i love the simplicity. that's how i wrap mine most years too. where'd you find the cute letters you painted?? do tell...
ReplyDeleteYou are waaaaaaaay ahead of me!
ReplyDeleteI use the brown butcher paper and stamp designs with craft paint on it each year.
Love your wrapping!
I found the wooden letters at Michaels craft store! They were only a dollar each... painted them red and sprinkled a little glitter on them!!
ReplyDeleteNot my favorite to do, but is a joy to receive. My hubby is a fantastic gift wrapper. I mean truly amazing - makes me sick. Oh well, I have improved over the years. One year I added copper cookie cutters to the brown and yarn idea - supper cheap and added a different texture. :) I am still stumped that you have presents wrapped!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I have presents wrapped, too, but mine aren't that pretty. I can't wrap to save my life.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful. Where do you find the brown and white paper?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to put my garland up!! We are lagging in the decorating but not the spirit of Advent I must say:) Beautiful pictures as always. Hope you are well!
ReplyDeleteWrapping gifts, no matter who they are for, or what occasion they are for is my very, very favorite thing to do... thus, Christmas is crazy fun with all the presents to wrap! Your gifts are simply beautiful as is everything else you do! Be blessed sweet lady!
ReplyDeleteI got the brown wrap at the shipping section of my grocery store in a big roll. I found the white in a similar section I think... I really can't remember that one as I got it a while ago. But I know it wasn't wrapping paper per se. I think it was more like butcher paper...
ReplyDeleteI LOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEE it! :)
ReplyDeleteI hate wrapping...yuck!
ReplyDeleteMy two oldest daughters always wrapped for me...still do
I am just happy to keep it in the Target sack and put some scotch tape on it..seriously;)
Yours is so adorable I pinned it. One of my favorite looks
and your garland...wow! Make more next year..you need to copy write it and sell it nationwide!..ha:)
xo
All your presents look so pretty! I love wrapping too. I haven't started yet, but soon! The kids are anxiously waiting to see what shows up under the tree.
ReplyDeleteI want to wrap beautiful packages and the first ones that get wrapped always look nice but the later it gets in the season, the worse my wrapping gets. I just want it over and done (the wrapping, not Christmas).
ReplyDeleteEverything looks beautiful and Christmasy! I get frustrated because the finished look isn't what I hoped for. You have inspired me to take my time with each gift and pray for the person receiving it. Christmas Blessings on your family!
ReplyDeleteI love wrapping gifts! The problem is this year, I haven't shopped for them yet...better got on that! Oh, and the garland...I have kicked myself several times for not ordering it...will be in line next year. Everything looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove to wrap gifts too! But this year I'm finding it difficult because I'm trying to figure out how to juggle making my household a home, a full time job, and a toddler. You're gift wrapping has inspired me today! I'm going home to make my half hearted attempt better! You know, after work, dinner and clean-up, teaching kindergartners in our local church and bath/bedtime for our toddler...hopefully.
ReplyDeleteyes!
ReplyDeletei love wrapping too... well... if i'm not rushed. :O)
