Currently reading... Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Always once a year, before Valentine's Day. My own little tradition. Mr. Darcy.... sigh.
Currently waiting for... my house to sell. (I'm sorry... I had to say it. I try not to say it... but there it always is.) I feel a little like that Dory fish on "Finding Nemo" singing, "Just keep waiting, waiting. wah-wah-wah-wah-waitttiiiinnnnnggggg."
Currently excited about... getting my hair done. I haven't done anything but dye it dark brown for years. Just wait til you see.... wait.... (why is this a common theme in my life right now? I want some instant gratification NOW! Bwahahahaha. But really, I do.)
Currently missing... routine. This snow has shut schools and other things down and I'm ready for it to leave soon so I can get back into some sort of daily structure!
Currently trying... new gluten free recipes for my family.
Currently working at... going to bed earlier. I want to get up earlier and LIKE it.
Currently enjoying... Deep water running with Nurse Nicki. And if this snow ever melts, we'll continue!
Currently snacking on... raw almonds. Ehhhh... whatever.
Currently using... Burt's Bees "Red Dahlia" tinted lip balm. My chapped lips love it and it's so soft, pretty, and natural looking with a hint of color.
Currently wearing... my husband's hoody sweatshirt that hangs to my knees. (Don't tell him, but I steal it regularly. I think he might suspect because he sniffs everything before putting it on- tell me your man does that too- and he often makes the face...you know, the "Eh... perfume!" face. Oops.)
Currently planning...a girl's weekend away with my book club. I'm in desperate need. Desperate!! (And girls if you're reading this... we have got to settle on a date soon!)
Currently singing... "Only You, Lord Jesus, Only You." (My hoodlums were singing it over breakfast and now it's in my head. It's a worship song we sing at our church.)
Currently needing... new socks. I kid you not, I have three pairs without holes and those ones are so threadbare, they're surely soon to go. Why do I not just grab some? What is so difficult about buying socks? I just wrote it on my grocery list. There.
Currently learning... that sometimes you have to say nothing.
Currently listening to...a very clear message on extending forgiveness even when it's not been asked for.
Currently wishing... I could go on a mission trip to Haiti.
Currently doing... a painting of an old green truck.
Currently praying for...my dad's job, my man's scheduled business trips over the next couple months, my brother's soon-to-arrive baby, some relationship stuff, kid stuff, house stuff, and thanking God for all of it, the good and bad... Every single bit of it.
Currently dreaming of... a vacation to Hawaii. But of course we would be stupid to do that when we're so up in the air financially right now, and hoping to move, so yeah, it probably won't happen. Still... my man was counting up our air miles and surfing destinations on the internet the other day. It certainly doesn't hurt to dream. It's the only place besides Disneyland and to see Becky that I've ever been... want to bring my babies there someday too!
Okay it's your turn if you want... you can give me a run down of a few of your current statuses in comments just for fun.

What?? First somehow? Whoop!! Love all of these and TOTALLY stealing it for my own now-private-bloggy-blog!! ; )
ReplyDeleteI think I will hit this idea up for my blog too. Not sure if I will have time to get it done today but maybe tomorrow. Thanks for your inspiration and I Love how Spiritual you and your little family are. It's refreshing to read about good people living life and feeling blessed for both the good and bad that comes to all of us. Keep that Chin up you are a hero in my eyes. Prayers your way for the sell of your house. I know how stressful that can be.
ReplyDeleteLove this! I think I'm going to have to steal it for a post next week. (if that's okay of course).
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to know I'm not the only one with the socks with holes in them. Also, none of my socks match except one pair. How does that even happen??
OK....did mine. Thanks for your inspiration. No matter what you go through on a day to day basis and feel so yucky sometimes.....know that you are a great motivator for your readers. You just are. You ARE like fresh lemonade and I mean that in the most wonderful, truthful way. You are a blessing. ; )
ReplyDeleteYay YES use it girls!!! How fun!! I'll TRY and come by and see what you post. (I make no promises... I'm often bad at budgeting my time, but I'll TRY!)
ReplyDeleteOK let me start by saying the pictures in the snow are wonderful.I am from Connecticut and have lived in Florida for quite some time now.I miss the seasons but I must say I would only want to vacation in the snow.We have such a laid back life style here in Florida.Flip flops ,sandals, shorts, easy going. The temp is around 70.Blue sky.Anyway on to my thoughts, hoping for wisdom so I can move forward in what way the Lord is trying to show me,thick headed ya know. Not knowing what door is supposed to be closing and what one to walk thru.I enjoy your blog, impressed that you started an online store,I'm praying for that .I am creative and my current job is far from that.

Hi, my name is Heather! Please email me when you can, I have a question about your blog!
ReplyDeleteHeatherVonSJ[at]gmail[dot]com
I've been writing in mine. My answers are lame, but yet I'm doing it. Think of you every night before bed:)
ReplyDeleteOoh this is fun! I want to do this too!!! Have I mentioned I'm a total copycat?? Meow.
ReplyDeleteYay Kearsie poo!!! :)
ReplyDeleteOk, I did it! I stole your idea too for my blog today because I loved reading your list! And I took to heart what you said (in a good way!) about posting a picture of myself! Argh! I did it even though it was not easy to do! My girls are 2 and 5 and I still carry the "baby weight" around so I am really self concious about it.Thanks for making me come out of my comfort zone! XO
ReplyDeleteOK.. I totally did this on my blog too. Thanks for the fun idea! I loved reading yours. :)
ReplyDeleteCute idea! I am currently waiting for snow (will it ever come??? I live in MN!) Currently learning to sew. Currently listening to nothing! Silence is bliss around here. Or trouble. But the kids are asleep, so right now it's bliss :) And one more, currently planning my baby's FIRST birthday!!! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWell, one can dream. I will say a prayer that you can sell your home soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently dreaming of a vacation to hawaii to. I feel like I just NEED to turn 40 there. wouldn't you agree?? And I MUST have my hair done. In fact, it's getting done tomorrow even if it means I drive in the snow. I look like the thing. Oh and waiting... current theme in my life too. I'm soooo impatient and apparently that's a fruit of the spirit so it should be pouring out of me right??
ReplyDeleteLove this! Tottaly, copying, too! Praying for your house to sell. "The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
ReplyDeleteDeuteronomy 31:9
I can't wait to see your hair, I know it will be cute. I'm currently listening to Scotty McCreery, reading One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp, praying for healing and hoping for a small, cottage somewhere close to my husband's job once our daughter graduates from high school in 2 more years. I hope it stops snowing and clears up for you. It is hard adjusting to these weather events that shut everything down. I pray God sends the perfect buyer for your house, it will come. We have to pray BIG prayers and believe. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI'm currently greatful I read your blog today and I am going to steal your idea for my own blog. Thanks so much for the idea. Love your pictures, as usual. Hoping the Hawaii wish comes true.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I think I will join the masses and do this on my blog too! You have created a wonderful thing! Socks...really? I thought I was the only one! My kids and hubby have socks in every nook and cranny of this house and I have a long white pair, a short white pair and the funny blue ones I got on an airplane...and yes, I wear them. :-) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteAwesome post. I love pride and prejudice too! And about the socks - you should look into Darn Tough brand. Pricey for a pair of socks, but they have a lifetime guarantee. I have 4 pair. I LOVE them. :-) If they get a hole you send them back and they send you a new pair! Have a great weekend!!

I might use this for a post too: ) Since giving myself permission to not post daily--three times a week is looking my average. Currently I have an appointment with Human Resources to discus a reduction in my contrast from 60 to 20, a leave of absence, or a resignation. Yikes!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove this too! I'm going to try it. Also, where did you get that awesome pillow that's in your photo? Pillow obessed Margie
