I wouldn't do. I know. It's shocking. (Cause I never change my mind about anything. Ever. Ha!)
being content and thankful for my many blessings. (Not that things don't still change of course... but you know what I mean- it was the heart behind it.) You know that old adage, "Love what you have."
everything under the sun- on and off the couch. Which is as it should be of course too because a house is to be lived in, not merely looked at. Sadly however, that diminishes the longevity of items like oh... I don't know... pretty couch pillows. The stuffing was pulling apart in clumps on all the corners, and no matter how often I washed and tried to fluff them, it was time for a refresh. (Plus they had a weird smell. Don't tell anyone this, but I was getting a little self conscious of people sitting on the couch and sniffing our pillows. I know... that's weird. Or maybe it's the couch that smells. I don't know...)
big change a small thing like new pillows can make. (Especially on a sofa you'd do just about anything to get rid of in place of a washable slip covered one because you have a JJ in your household. Just saying.)
worth the wait. because I really love them!
coffee table problems around here. Tell me if you can relate. 1) I don't like a lot of junk all over the place. 2) We put our feet on that table all. the. time, so if there's junk on it, it's going to get moved around or thrown on the floor. Especially by kids. It's real life, you know? 3) I don't necessarily like decor just for the sake of decor- it depends on where it's at, so I wanted something useful and pretty. That's it own problem right there, just so you know.
wire baskets at my grocery store. (Fred Meyer) I've purchased a couple of extra large sized ones for towels in our bathrooms over the past few months and I really love the way they look. I had planned on getting one of the little ones today when I grocery shopped so I could use it on the counter for produce. I was thrilled when I saw that the entire stock of them were on extreme clearance, so I got two of them! Each basket was about $7. I almost yelled for joy.
Now I'm off to Ikea this weekend with my book club girls, where I'm getting a few fun things for my daughter's mini room refresh. I can't wait to show you what I've got going on! Her repaint is happening on Monday... so if you don't hear from me for a few days, you can know that I'm working my hiney off getting it all cute for my favorite little girl. By the way, Nurse Nicki has never been to Ikea. Gasp! I plan to fully initiate her into Swedish Pictorial Instructions and navigating a maze.
What are you doing all weekend?
