BUT..
They sold so quickly and I feel bad that so many peeps didn't get them. My man came home today and said that HE would help with all the stamping so my back didn't hurt (the reason I wasn't going to make more)!! So if you were one who wanted one, email me at lemonademakinmama@comcast.net letting me know how many you wanted to get and I'll get back to you on details. If not, just letting ya know. :) Thanks! Sash***
I have to tell you about my stolen leaves...
But before I do, can you see that adorable little chalkboard? It's the last one in my shop right now... I must get some more in stock soon! See that turkey silhouette? That's in my shop too. It comes as an unframed print, and I'm a little bit in love with it. I might have a thing for silhouettes.
Okay so back to my story.
I was dragging furniture and things around, yanking frames off walls and staging this for my shop. My dog was watching me and I felt like maybe she was judging me... thinking I was a crazy person. Which leads me to this. I stole these branches. I do this every year. And every year, when I steal branches from public areas where they have trees (since I do not) I freak out because people watch me (presumably thinking I am a crazy person) and this year was no different. This year a man in a truck pulled up and watched me, but but I was committed to my "crime", with one broken branch already dangling from my hand as I wrestled with the stubborn wet twig that didn't want to be separated from it's mother tree.
He started talking on his phone.
I freaked out.
I thought, "OH SHOOT... He's calling the cops on me!"
(Which thankfully if he did, I would involve my brother, Officer McJakey, and hope to high heaven his good name among police officers could get me out of jail.)
And then I calmed down slightly, and realized he was probably stopping to answer his phone because driving and talking on your cell is illegal. But I'm not sure.
So I sped off with my contraband branches once again, and realized that next year I need to find a tree that I have permission to de-leaf.
...or involve someone else in this so they could drive the get away car. Yeah. I think I'll go with that.
If my man didn't have to have a television right here, I would have been seriously tempted to leave all of this. It looked so pretty grouped together! Darn television.
I dragged my stolen branches around with me for the day. (grin)
I do love to set a pretty table. Especially for holidays.
Sadly, my branches will be long since dead by the time Thanksgiving rolls around.
This is how they arrive to you. Because I love cute packaging... I love a lot of things. I listed these yesterday, and if there are any remaining in my shop you can find them here.
Okay I've stalled long enough. The listing for Christmas garlands are live in my shop. I made nearly 40 of them... gosh I hope that's enough for y'all. I sure loved making them for you!!
This is the final batch of these for this year, so if you are on the fence about getting them, or getting more than one set don't wait around.
Just sayin'.
I'd also like to point out how old and claw-like my hand looks. I do believe it's because I stamped 28,188 letters in all.
And yes, I did use my calculator just now to add that up. No exaggeration. (Which ordinarily there would be, but I think the plain, un-inflated fact speaks for itself in this case.)
I think I need do go ice my hand now.
And watch a Christmas movie.

are you channeling shannan with the claw hands?;) she's so funny about that. good job girlie. i know that was a LOT of work! hope you sell each and every one.
ReplyDeleteHi there! Love your garlands! A year or two ago you had a link to where you purchased your big letter stamps. Do mind sharing that again? I have some burlap table runners I want to stamp up for gifts this year and I think those letter stamps would be perfect! Thank you!
