Insta-March

I decided I wanted to do a 365 project after all.  But then my camera broke.  And it was mid-March.  Then my man figured out the camera thing and I decided to start a 365 project on April 1st.

But then I got the flu and the only thing I had to photograph was wadded up tissues. Ha!

I have to thank you guys for all the get well wishes.  You blessed my heart.  I am just this afternoon, crawling out of the nest of pillows I've been feverishly sweating in for the past four days.  I couldn't take it anymore.  My kiddos were melting down last night and my man was barely keeping the whole thing from unravelling.  Plus, my doggy (who isn't allowed to come into our bedroom) has been laying in my bedroom doorway with her toenails touching the carpeting.... just waiting for me to emerge.

Apparently they have missed me.

I can tell you, I have never been this sick in my whole life.  My fever has been raging between 101-104 degrees for the past four days, and I've only had enough energy to sleep.  That has never happened to me before.  So I'll be snuggling my little people for the rest of this afternoon.  I'm very shaky and weak and still have no appetite at all, but I'm up!!  The fever isn't quite gone but it's lowering, and my BFF brought me tulips and a get well card.

So... because I've got to keep this short, I give you my Instagram March favorites.   (You can find me @lemonademakinmama on Instagram)
The two things I have to comment on... are the fact that I'm kind of dying to know the story behind the man broadcasting that he's not overly fond of liars, on the back of his truck.

And... the little egg carton last supper that my daughter made showed a very unruly Bartholomew, to which I questioned on Instagram, that perhaps it was the four glasses of Passover wine causing that behavior?  (Little Passover joke there... in case you missed it.)

Laughed my head off at all the Instagram responses left on those two photos, and then drove my man crazy reading them to him as they popped in all night. (Truth be told, I think my man adores y'all as much as I do.  Just so you know.)

Okay, I'm going to lay down on the sofa with one child tucked under each arm.
Happy Weekend friends!!

  1. Oh you are too funny even on your sick couch! Remember The Devil wears Prada this scene sticks with me when I'm sick...

Emily: Oh my God, Andy, you look to chic.

Andy Sachs: Awe, thanks Em. You look so thin.

Emily: Do I?! Oh it's for Paris. Well I'm on this new diet, it's very effective. Well, I don't eat anything and when I feel like I'm about to faint I eat a cube of cheese.

Andy Sachs: Well, it's definitely working.

Emily: I know. I'm just one stomach flu away from my goal weight.

    Get better soon!

  2. Oh Sweetie Girl - I'm glad you're feeling a little better. Do take it slow. It sounds like what knocked our kids out this winter. Powerful stuff -- and they had flu shots! I am lovin' that necklace shot! Wore the necklace you made for me the other day & thought of you. HUGS! ~Sally

  8. Glad to hear that you are finally starting to feel better, nothing makes us feel better than family who always cheers us up. Sometimes, getting sick is just a way our bodies are telling us to slow down. To be honest, looking at you on IG, you would never had thought you were sick, you still managed to look as lovely as ever.

  9. Sorry you've been so sick - yay for a man who is so capable :)
And so glad the camera is sorted out - looking forward to more pics.
Hmmm - the man with the hatred of liars.... biblically speaking, isn't he now in the same category as a murderer. But at least he won't be a liar I guess... ;)
    Blessings!
