Post in which we hang out in my bathroom together.

Oh my friends.  After posting the video in my previous post, a bunch of you hoodlums let me know that you were thinking it was going to be me (and you were actually excited about that for some reason or another and then felt rather disappointed that it wasn't me after all).  So... to those of you who let me know that you wanted to see a video of ME on here, (you know who you are) I made you one.  And it confirms what I have suspected for a very long time now- I am definitely the biggest dork that I know. Especially the last part of the video.  I suppose, at the very least, you are getting the real deal here. Ha!

Back in December, I won a fantastic giveaway from one of my dear blog friends.  Tiffini over at the House of Belonging was hosting a fabulous giveaway and in the winnings, a custom drapery order from her mama's Etsy shop, Shades Up and co.  After much drooling and deliberation, I decided to go with a custom shower curtain for my master bath.  An ombre ruffled yellow shower curtain to be exact.  I fell head over heels in love as ruffle after ruffle began spilling out of the shipping box.  I asked Jen to make it a foot longer than the average shower curtain.  Her work is absolutely gorgeous and this shower curtain is so well made, I can't rave about it enough.

Shades Up and Co. has since become a sponsor of this ole bloggity blog and you can find her button on my sidebar... or you can visit her shop here.  Jen is sweetly offering a 10% discount on any order you place with her during the month of June!  (Use coupon code LMM10 when you check out!)

And now you can see if the voice you hear in your head whenever you read my blog sounds anything like my actual voice.  (It probably doesn't. Ha!)

I love this clock.  I found it at my grocery store last month.   And you need to know this about me.  I've been putting up with the UGLIEST clock that my man dragged home from who knows where... for years.  We're talking ugly.  He loved that clock for some weird reason.

I jumped up and down for joy when it stopped keeping time.  (I don't know why but we really seem to need a clock in the bathroom while we're getting ready.  That may be weird... but really the fact that we're talking so much about bathrooms is pretty weird, so I suppose it's all good.)

I love these ruffles.  Sooooo much.
Me... in front of my very messy closet.  Which is never clean.  And I don't care. Um... in the video I showed my closet but I need to clarify something... the cute shoes you see on the floor were meant for the outfit I am wearing today... not the yoga pants that I wore yesterday that are also lying on the floor.  I just didn't want you to get the wrong impression about me.  I don't wear wedges with yoga pants.  I'm just saying.
And my painted cabinets that a few of you have asked me about...  They are tiny and I hate them...and why in the heck didn't the builders put a double sink there?  I really have no answer for that.  Regardless, they are much cuter now because they have knobs and are painted gray.  (I don't know what the color is because I mixed up a bunch of random paint in a can and came up with this color. I do that sometimes.)

Gratuitous ruffle shot.  I can't help myself.

Well... I feel as if I've bared it all to you guys.  (Which thankfully, I haven't.) So um... there doesn't seem to be much else to share at this point. Ha!

Happy weekend you guys.

I LOVE this shower curtain!! I wish I had a place for that lovely shower curtain, but I don't think my boys would like that in their bathroom. But I really love hearing and seeing you!! You are remind me so much of my son's teacher and I adore her!! I love you even more Ms. Sasha, is that weird??

Your voice totally doesn't match what I hear when I read your blog, but that's probably because I hear my voice!! Ha! But now I feel like I know the real you!! Is that silly?? It may be, but whatever!!

That's the cutest shower curtain and bathroom!! Its so cheery and sweet --just like you!!!! :). Thanks for being brave and sharing a video of yourself. <3

FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. Now I am surer-than-sure that we must meet in person. #1 I don't think I responded about how disappointed I was that your first video wasn't you...(did I???) But I WAS. Deep, deep disappointment... even if I did not comment. #2 I have heard your voice and gotten an idea of your sense of humor and oh my, we would totally hit it off. Although, I think we pretty much knew that already. Girl, the fun we could have. Perhaps we could travel to one another's homes and help organize each other's closets? That is also not MY specialty. Anyways... HUGS & love you much. TGIF. (I just typed that 3 (THREE!) times before I got FOUR letters in the correct order. Sheesh! #3 Two of my "besties" have called today & now I just feel like I got a call from you too. Okay, done bein' sappy. xo ~Sal (I don't know why I tried to number things. Clearly, there are a-million-and-one thoughts here~ (fail) The End.

that was so weird for me. you just always seem so "mature" (in a good and godly way) but seeing you in this video just made me think you are so much more spunky and fun than i had ever imagined. not that you didn't seem fun before, but now you are like a whole new person to me---which is actually totally unfair because your house is super clean, (and that one pair of shoes on your closet floor is not messy) you create amazing stuff, you love your kids so passionately and i just couldn't think of a negative here.....so, if you weren't so spunky and cute it would make you like the rest of us!!! i loved this vlog---you should totally do more!!!! maybe a video house tour? that would be so fun!!

Thanks for doing that, that was cool. I read your blog all the time and it was neat to meet you "in person". I agree with the thetwistedruffle, you will have to do that again. Maybe your hubby and kids would be game too?!

Just so you know, goofy, giggly, and funny are some of my very most favorite character traits. Love it that I can totally read your posts with your own voice and intonation now. Please, pretty please do another video soon! PS - Love the shower curtain, and the clock, SO perfect! (What store?). -J

The shower curtain is ah-mazing! It's exactly what I was looking for in my bathroom, but in robin's egg blues.

And, oh my, you really did sound the way I thought you would! So stinky cute.

I love hearing that... LOL (And my man thought the shower curtain was pretty girly too... he's just gonna have to suck it up. LOL!!!)

Lemonade Makin' Mama said...

Yep... that's the real me. All un-airbrushed glory of ME.

Lemonade Makin' Mama said...

Aww. Sweet thing. :)

Lemonade Makin' Mama said...

YES WE MUST!!!! Someday.

And I love that you numbered your comments.

And I'd say we skip organizing each other's closets and we just go have lunch and then shop. I mean, if we're traveling to each other's places and all. LOL :)

Lemonade Makin' Mama said...

I love that you just said, "The Bomb." That makes me adore you. (I say that still too. LOL)

Lemonade Makin' Mama said...

I am laughing. "Mature." Nuh-uh. (Okay maybe on a good day or a serious day.) LOL

(I didn't show you the rest of my closet. And surprisingly there wasn't a ton of clothing on top of my dresser, which there normally is... but that's because there was a pile of it in my bedroom and the rest is in the laundry room. LOL True.

Ooooh a house tour would be fun! I'll have to think about that now... hmmm.

Lemonade Makin' Mama said...

Thanks sweets! (And I love the word "swoony" about that curtain. I can't stop going in there and looking at it.)

Lemonade Makin' Mama said...

Thank you! I love how IG brings friends together. :) So fun!

Lemonade Makin' Mama said...

Thanks girly! It's kind of intimidating putting it all out there like that!! LOL

Lemonade Makin' Mama said...

NOw it feels even more lopsided though because I want to hear all of YOUR sweet voices!

Lemonade Makin' Mama said...

Thanks so much darlin!

Lemonade Makin' Mama said...

That is such a fun idea. Though I'm pretty sure if I put a camera in front of my son's face... we'll never get it back. He is NOT afraid to be the spotlight. LOL

Lemonade Makin' Mama said...

You made me smile. Thanks sweets! (The clock was from Fred Meyer. So cute! And only $14.00. Can't beat that!)

Lemonade Makin' Mama said...

Oh my gosh I can't even imagine how cute that would be in blues... If you get one please please email me a photo!! :)

Lemonade Makin' Mama said...

That's so sweet... I am kind of a fan of YOU guys. Sweet readers. :)

Forget the shower curtain! I'm excited we got to hear and see you moving in action! Totally cool! You are so fun and bubbly and just p-e-r-f-e-c-t in every way. I am not sure why that surprises me, because I already knew that. It's not like I needed this video to know it. haha. You always seem to be such a mature wife/mom because you have it all totally together, but then I see this and you are that still, but add on the fun voice, fun personality, etc and it makes you perfect all around! xoxo

D said...

Finally! I've been waiting for you to do a vlog in secret, am I weird for that? ha! I love this post!! I love the whole bathroom look and how the yellow is pulled in from the Master. The whole look is awesome! I have to admit, I thought the same thing as Tiffany up there "mature & serious", not that it's a bad thing at all. I also agree on the house tour, that would be SO FUN! You have such a beautiful home to feature:-) Thank you for sharing this part of you, love it even more.

Oh friend. You are so adorable. I think every post should be you talking right to me!!! Lol;) Love your shower curtain. Kinda sorta jealous. That took some mega time to do. She's talented. Whoa.

Oh! That clock! At the grocery store? Really? It's way too cute to be spendin' any time in a grocery store. Great snag!
Your voice sounds exactly the way I figured it would. Excitable...

Cheryl said...

Omg, loved seein and hearing you and yes it totally matches what I hear in my head when ii read your blog posts! You are just too funny. You have a great sense of humor. Don't worry about your closet. Years ago I went to visit a friend of mine. We both had young children at the time. Around toddler age. I went to visit her at her house and your closet looks clean compared to what I saw. Toys everywhere, dirty dishes, piles of clean clothes to be folded. I must of had a crazy look on my face cause she said, "just walk over it, what's a tornado between friends?" I was like yes! You are so right, we live in our homes in every room and driving ourselves crazy to make it look like a model home when a friend comes over is nuts. LOL, she kept it real. Just like you did.
Love the shoes, shower curtain, clock and that cabinet color. Everything looks so fresh and happy.
Have a great weekend!

Yay! Yay! Yay! I was one of the disgruntled that was sad you weren't on the Almay vid. (Although I complained only to myself). Thank you for showing your GORG shower curtain. I loved seeing and hearing your sweet self the most. You are darling. xox

Christina said...

You are a riot. And an adorable one at that. I loved hearing your voice. You did not sound like I thought you would sound...for some reason, I imagined you sounding more southern. Which...no sense! You live in Washington State! What is wrong with me? I think it's because you have the gift of hospitality and everything is charming and bright and cheerful, and southern! ha!
And your "messy" closet makes me howl with laughter. You don't know messy, my dear friend (can I call you that?)...I have a couple of things to teach you. (Not really. You don't want to learn my lessons. I promise.)

Lisa Joy said...

Hahaha, about the "mature" thing, I thought the *exact same thing*!! Sasha, you ARE spunky and perky...you're like the Katie Couric of the creative-cottagey-Christiany blog world. :) OK, so that probably only made sense in my own head, but take it as a compliment!

Lisa Joy said...

I think either Urban Outfitters or Anthropologie has a "waterfall" ruffle shower curtain in ombre blues and greens.

Chrystal said...

You sound so much different than your voice in my head. It's funny that because everyone I hear in my daily life has a southern accent that I always heard you with one too. lol.
I also need to have you come and organize my house. I look at your idea of messy and just think, "she would totally pass out if she saw my house!" ha!
Love the shower curtain. I have a glass shower door and am totally jealous.

Susan Jeffries said...

Well this can be my guest bathroom when I come to stay at your house Sasha. It is nothing short of amazing. I am free during the month of August;) By the way, isn't Jen the mama to Tiffani from House of Belonging? Small world. This curtain is fabulous - like you. Blessings, Susan

Happy Sunday!
