I've been posting on this ol' blog since the spring of 2008. In that time, I haven't taken more than about seven days between postings at the most, and I remember a time when I posted every weekday! I have no idea how I did that. The truth is, I do it because I love it. Blogging... it's in my bones. Regardless, I'm just a bit tuckered out and it occurred to me that I might be in need of a slight refresh. So I'm popping on here to let you know that I'll be taking a temporary vacation from social media such as Instagram, this blog, and Facebook (which I'm seldom on anyway) for a bit. Nothing's the matter, so don't worry. I just wanted to give y'all a head's up. When I come back, I've got another sweet giveaway to share with you.
Before I go, I wanted to leave you with some fun photos from last night. (If you leave your shutter speed on the "BULB" setting, set your camera on a stable surface or tripod, you can light a sparkler and let your kids make a design in the air, creating a "magic picture." All you need to do is press and hold the shutter button on your camera until they are finished making their desired shape, then release the shutter button. So fun!) You can also do this with a flashlight.
It was last night's entertainment of choice. (To get your camera's shutter speed set to "BULB" you will either need to lower your shutter speed all the way until it shows "BULB" as an option. Or if your camera is like mine, it actually has a "B" setting which stands for "BULB"-and it's located where the little knob that turns from "AUTO" or "MANUAL" or other settings are. ENJOY!
