SHOP HAPPY... and just talkin'.

Peeps!  Gosh I've missed you.  This blogging once a week on Sunday isn't becoming a regular thing for me... however, it's a season I'm in this month, making all these Christmas garlands (all spaces are full) and I'm so happy I could burst. What a dream job.  I've got a bunch of quick things to say while I'm on here so let's go-

Both of my children have decided to be Star Trek characters for Halloween... so Adrain and I took them to Goodwill to scout out costume ideas that I wouldn't have to sew.  Because y'all... I so don't need that on my list right now. Ha! (We didn't end up finding any deals and turns out I will have to tweak a shirt slightly for Joe but I think we're sorta covered now.)

What we did find... for $7, was a gold-painted paper rack.  I resisted hugging it right there in the store.  It was PERFECT for my shop!  We carted it home and after an instagram poll to see what color (if any) we should paint it...Joe scrubbed it.  It looked perfect just as it was so we moved it right in to my studio space.  It literally is the world's smallest studio.  But you know.. I can get so much work done in there!  Guess it's true what they say, it's not the size that matters.  Wait.  That came out all wrong.

A place for everything, and everything in it's place.  It makes me giddy.

Also, these are my new collection.  Well, I mean it's not a collection unless you have more than one but it will be a collection as time passes-  Vintage scissors.  I bought them forever ago and haven't been able to decide what to do with them until the other day, when I thought to myself, "Hey Self, why not start hanging them on the wall as you collect them!"  (Then I congratulated myself on a good idea.)

I am over half way through Christmas garlands and billing you all out right and left. I love it when your payments come in, because I can move these things out of my house- and believe me when I say they are taking over my home.  (In a good way.) (And gentle reminder-please don't copy or replicate these in any way. Thanks.)

Totally cheating on my 30-day photo challenge.  As in... doing treasure hunt style photo shoots with my kids where they help me find things on the list to photograph.  I'm not gonna lie, that is quickly becoming my favorite thing.  And theirs too I think!  Not sure when I'll be finished and have all of those photos to share.  My daughter is becoming quite the little helper too.
I photographed a bunch of my vintage ornaments to turn into photo prints and canvases for my shop as we inch closer to the holidays. (I will be listing them soon- I am waiting to check how the prints and canvases turn out before I list them, so hang tight.)

She also helped me with an upcoming promotion (more on that later) and here's a sneak peek because it was so cute I had to share.

At some point today/tomorrow, I'll be taking a little break from Garland production to whip out a small batch of the Antique Ball Jar flour sack dishtowels, for those of you who have been waiting.

Also... for those of you who care about such details, now that I am able to offer many sizes of prints, I've got the most darling packaging for 8x10's and smaller.  I feel like a real artist now.  I'm just saying.

AND... because I love ya... I've got a discount for my shop just for YOU!  Use the coupon code "SHOPHAPPY" when you check out, for 10% off anything in my shop.  Yipee!  (Click here to shop.)
