SUMMERLOVE SALE!

This time next week, I will be on Summer break.  (Well okay, my kids will be.) Can we have a collective cheer for no more early morning wake up calls and homework checking and night-before lunch making?  I seriously live for the carefree demands of Summer. And non-lunch making.  I might have a real problem with lunch making.  In that, I hate it. I even make my kids make their own now, and I still hate it.  Because I have to check them, or peeps are like, "What, you mean this bag of chips and two cookies won't work as my lunch?"  Like that's a new concept.  Every. Dang. Day.

I am always forcing jelly sandwiches and apples on people.

I begin looking forward to summer break sometime around mid-October.

I think that speaks volumes about my life.

In fact, I never related to a blog post more than the one Jen Hatmaker wrote last year, here.  She wrote, "We are limping, limping across the finish line, folks. I tapped out somewhere in April and at this point, it is a miracle my kids are still even going to school. I haven’t checked homework folders in three weeks, because, well, I just can’t. Cannot. Can. Not. I can’t look at the homework in the folder. Is there homework in the folder? I don’t even know. Are other moms still looking in the homework folder? I don’t even care."

I think she took the words right out of my mouth and I laughed and laughed because YES.  Yes, yes, yes.  So happy to be done... almost... in less than ONE WEEK! (And why the pacific NW has to go until mid- June is beyond ridiculous.  There is no learning happening after Memorial Day, can we just be honest about that? There isn't.)

So in celebration of summer, I am offering my biggest sale for the coming week, starting today!  I am offering you 30% off anything in my shop- including photo canvases (a few have been discontinued and I've got two half priced, vintage typewriter- soon to be discontinued canvases left as well- don't miss out on that deal!)

When you shop, use the coupon code, "SUMMERLOVE" to get 30% off your orders! This offer expires in one week- Next Wednesday will be your last day to use it! (Click here to shop)

Happy Shopping... and happy summer~ I might just need a cupcake for this.

  1. I love your posts. I am so with you about making lunches. We are also so ready to be done, but we have to go until June 25th in western NY.

  2. What is it about making lunches! You and I are like peas and carrots on this one, sister! I HATE it! My husband and I went on a week-long trip by ourselves the week before school ended, and part of my two bigger kids' responsibilities included making their own lunches. I wasn't here to monitor what went in them, so I hope they made good choices. I think I will let them keep the responsibility next year! And while I’m at it, I think I will start letting them do their own laundry too. It’s looking like I might return to a gainfully employed status, so I’m going to need all the help I can get!
